Establishment and timeline:

1984 – initial infrastructure

1988 – start of permanent home construction

1990 – population of permanent home

1992 – connection to state power grid

 

Adura is a community in the western Mount Hebron area overlooking the wonderful landscape of the Judea plains.

If the challenge of coming together as one, of uniting hearts from all walks of life, is flowing in your veins, alongside the settling of the land of Israel - join us in expanding and strengthening Adura.

A mixed community of religious and non-religious members.

 

The community in numbers:

The community is now home to 90 families and growing.

 

Facilities and institutions:

Infant day-care, pre-school, afternoon childcare, Mifal HaPais club, Mikveh, synagogue, Bnei Akiva branch. School age children attend schools located in Kiryat Gat or Kiryat Arba.

 

Local businesses:

Air conditioning plant, parasols and awning plant, welding shop and liberal professions.

 

Employment:

Community residents find employment in Be’er Sheba, Kiryat Gat, Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh and the vicinity.

 

Community services:

Cultural events, library, gym, play space, afterschool and extracurricular activities for children and adults, playground.

 

Education:

Pre-school, kindergarten, infant daycare, afternoon childcare.

Elementary and high schools in Kiryat Gat and Kiryat Arba.


Religion facilities:

Mikveh and synagogue.
